Group Accounting and Reporting Manager

About The Role

Food People is working with a semi-government entity in the UAE looking to onboard a Group Accounting & Reporting Manager in their HQ to lead all day-to-day finance operations and functional responsibility over accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general administration

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems, ensuring compliance with appropriate accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Maintain internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, program budgets, and actual expenditures
• Coordinate all audit activity
• Consistently analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner
• Assist leadership in the annual budgeting and planning process; administer and review all financial plans and compare to actual results to identify, explain, and correct variances as appropriate
• Continuously collaborate to assess the financial efficacy of operations and establish finance and administrative systems to support operations
• Prepares, reviews, and submits a variety of financial reports, reconciliations, communications, schedules, tables, and statements to and from internal departments, financial institutions, and external agencies
• Research, interpret, update, audit, and maintain various financial records and logs

Key Ingredients

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance, and a master's would be highly desirable
• Over 10 years of Financial Accounting and Reporting experience
• Ability to work independently while collaborating cross-functionally and globally very often
• FMCG background is ideal with expertise in food highly preferable
• Strong stakeholder management skills with prior experience in reporting to senior leadership and external stakeholders
• Must be in UAE/GCC and have regional experience
• Arabic is a plus
