JOB TITLE:

Group Account Director

LOCATION:

UAE, hybrid working model with travel around the region as required

REPORTING TO:

General Manager

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Group Account Director to drive growth within our Digital and Brand portfolios, by relentlessly focusing on client success. In this role you will take the lead on and oversee the successful execution of integrated marketing strategies whilst maximising team performance. You will ensure P&L accountability, foster dynamic client relationships and champion cross-functional collaboration, whilst upholding our commitment to delivering strategic, measurable and impactful results.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership, Management & Accountability

  • Provide clear direction, coaching and support to team members to maximise performance and professional growth.
  • Foster a culture of excellence and accountability, setting high standards in service delivery and consistently meeting or exceeding goals.

Commercial

  • Report to the Head of BCM to support the profitability and growth of assigned accounts.
  • Be the commercial lead for new business, proactively pitching to new clients, developing pitch presentations as well as identifying and sustaining a pipeline of new business opportunities.
  • Develop and execute commercial strategies, forecast revenue, manage budgets, and ensure sustainable profitability aligned with Acorn Strategy’s objectives.

Client Consulting

  • Act as a trusted advisor and strategic partner, bridging Brand Communications Management (BCM) and Digital expertise.
  • Proactively identify opportunities, formulate innovative solutions, and deliver measurable results that advance client objectives.

Strategy Development & Creative Leadership

  • Able to create client-focused creative strategies based on our methodology. Champion strategic phases, guiding insight to activation.
  • Oversee integrated strategies aligning with client goals.
  • Lead campaign concept development, crafting inspiring ideas while collaborating with the Creative Team.
  • Elevate creativity in daily deliverables, mapping opportunities for award-winning work.
  • Guide the Creative Studio, setting expectations and translating client needs.

WHAT YOU NEED TO APPLY FOR THIS ROLE

  • Leadership skills: Strong leadership, team management and communication skills to support cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strategic thinking: Able to develop and execute innovative strategies.
  • Client engagement: Experience in managing relationships with senior clients and decision-makers, ensuring high quality creative output.
  • Financial acumen: Understanding of the financial tools necessary for account management, including budgeting and revenue.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising or a related field.
  • 8 – 10 years’ progressive leadership experience in a similar role.
