Job summary

SEGULA Technologies in the UAE seeks an experienced BESS Engineer to supervise grid-scale battery energy storage construction in Umm Al Quwain. You will oversee installation, ensure compliance with technical specs, review procedures, and coordinate interfaces with electrical and SCADA teams.

Ideal candidates hold an Electrical Engineering degree with 10+ years in grid-scale BESS projects, proof of installation, integration or commissioning, and UAE project experience.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in grid-scale battery energy storage projects.
• Proven experience in BESS installation, integration or commissioning.
• Knowledge of energy storage systems and associated electrical infrastructure.
• UAE project experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise BESS installation and associated electrical infrastructure.
• Monitor compliance with approved technical specifications.
• Review installation procedures and engineering documentation.
• Coordinate system interfaces with electrical and SCADA teams.
• Witness inspections, testing and commissioning activities.
• Identify technical deficiencies and monitor corrective actions.
