JOB PURPOSE
The Graphic Design & Social Media Specialist is responsible for creating visually engaging and impactful content that supports the organization’s marketing and communication efforts. This role combines creative design with digital marketing skills to enhance the brand’s visibility across print and digital platforms. The position focuses on developing high-quality graphics, managing social media content, and ensuring consistent brand representation to effectively engage target audiences and strengthen the organization’s online presence.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
GRAPHIC DESIGN:
- Conceptualize and develop creative design solutions that align with the organization’s brand identity and support marketing initiatives.
- Design visually engaging digital and print assets, flyers, forms, advertisements, and promotional materials.
- Create professional and visually cohesive presentation slides that effectively communicate key messages.
- Develop, maintain, and update design templates to ensure consistency in brand aesthetics across all materials.
- Produce a variety of marketing collateral such as brochures, forms, flyers, and other branded materials as needed.
- Ensure all designs meet project deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards and brand consistency.
SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGEMENT:
- Social Media Content Creation: Conceptualize and execute creative social media content
- Design branded social media assets, such as icons, highlights, and cover images.
- Ensure all visuals align with brand guidelines and storytelling strategies.
- Manage all social media channels of RAKEZ to ensure that all messages are accurate and reflects the correct brand image and business goals of the organisation at all times.
- Social Media Optimization & Trends: Stay updated with the latest social media design trends and best practices.
- Optimize visuals for engagement by testing different formats and styles.
- Collaboration & Asset Management: Work closely with marketing teams to align designs with content strategies.
- Manage and organize digital assets, ensuring accessibility for future use.
- Collaborate with copywriters and content creators for cohesive posts.
- Time Management: Maintain timelines, prioritise and give feedback regularly on all projects to ensure quality delivery.
- Manage operational and administrative functions effectively to ensure Social Media tasks and projects are delivered efficiently and on time as required by the manager.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Multimedia Design, Marketing, Digital Media, or a related field.
- A diploma or certification in Graphic Design, Digital Marketing, or Social Media Management may be considered with relevant work experience.
Years of Experience
- Minimum three years working experience in social media, content creation and designing.
Other requirements
- Fluent in English and Arabic
- Proficient in using current graphic design software, including but not limited to Adobe Creative Suite—particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign—as well as Microsoft Office applications, with a strong emphasis on PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
- Proficient in using current apps such as Mojo, Canva and CapCut,
- Excellent layout technique, typography and a fresh take on various design styles.
- Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience in the creation and execution of social media and activities.
- Excellent communication skills and cooperation skills.
- Ability to handle pressure, cope with changes and work concurrently on multiple tasks.
- Excellent consulting, writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skills.
- Experience with social media platforms, including, but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, YouTube, and Google.
- Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge.
- Knowledge of online marketing and good understanding of major marketing channels.
- Positive attitude, detail and customer oriented with good multitasking and organisational ability.
- Must be extremely well-organised, responsible, and be expert in time management.
