The Graphic Designer is a highly creative and detail-oriented individual, with strong portfolio-showcasing expertise in illustrative design and typography. Fluent in English and Arabic, they will collaborate closely with policy analysts and experts—to create compelling visual materials that enhance policy papers, reports, briefs, and presentations. The Graphic Designer reports to the Head of Support Unit. The Graphic Designer also liaises closely with the other Designer, the Director, Deputies and with other Advisers in the Department.
Role Description
- Develop engaging and effective designs for print and digital media
- Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and design best practices
- Interpret design briefs, conceptualize visuals, and develop creative solutions
- Prepare drafts, refine ideas, and present concepts for approval
- Produce high-quality illustrations, infographics, and visual content using industry-standard

- Ensure all final graphics and layouts are visually appealing, on-brand, and aligned with organizational objectives
- Maintain accuracy and quality in all deliverables

Main Tasks
- Conceptualize and execute innovative design projects, collaborating with policy analysts and experts to develop relevant and illustrative visuals for policy products
- Design presentations and reports covering regional and international issues
- Create and update infographics, data visualizations, charts, maps, timelines, templates, and other design elements required for delivering compelling and effective design solutions
- Support the team by fulfilling special design requests in preparation for international and local meetings, forums, conferences, summits, and related events
- Adhere to approved Ministry Visual Identity Guidelines in all design related deliverables, while maintaining awareness of current and global design trends
- Archive approved designed materials
- Perform any additional tasks assigned by the Director or Deputy Directors of the Department
Required Experience and Expertise
- 3-5 years of professional experience working in graphic design.
- Fluency in both English and Arabic design is a must.
- Track record in typography, conceptual design, and visual storytelling.
- Experience of working effectively in multi-disciplinary teams
- A Bachelor's (Hons) degree in Visual Communication, Multimedia Design, Graphic Design, or equivalent.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere, Lightroom).
