AECOM in Dubai is seeking graduates for the ADVANCE program as Graduate - Process Engineer (Wet Utilities). The program runs about 24 months and is designed to build essential business and personal skills for a student-to-professional transition.

As a Graduate, you will undertake a broad, well-rounded learning experience in the field, with duties aligned to your track. You will work with senior engineers to deliver projects, support design reviews, and push for compliant, efficient solutions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and implementation of water and wastewater treatment processes.
• Develop process flow diagrams, mass balances, and unit sizing to optimize plant performance.
• Develop P&IDs, control philosophies, hydraulics calculations for design specs and HAZOPs.
• Represent the design team in HAZOP studies and design reviews with stakeholders.
• Prepare technical documentation, process descriptions, reports and manuals.
• Support project teams in delivering solutions meeting regulatory, environmental and safety standards.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers to execute tasks and meet client requirements.
• Provide operational support by troubleshooting process issues and recommending improvements.
• Assist in optimizing process design to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Stay updated on new developments and technologies in the water industry.

Job Description

Graduates joining the business in a Graduate role and engaging in all elements of the ADVANCE program. The program is designed to introduce and build essential business and personal skills, helping to enhance the transition from student to professional.

Graduates are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within the field they are joining at Graduate entry level.

The ADVANCE program lasts approx. 24 months but the successful completion of the program is only to be used as an indicator for strong performance in line with other indicators (strong or above performance rating et cetera).

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and implementation of water and wastewater treatment processes.
• Develop process flow diagrams, mass balances, and process unit sizing to optimize treatment plant performance.
• Develop P&IDs, process control philosophies, hydraulics calculations (gravity & pumped) to feed into design specifications and HAZOP studies.
• Represent the design team in HAZOP studies and design reviews with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Prepare technical documentation, including process descriptions, reports, and manuals.
• Support project teams in delivering solutions that meet regulatory, environmental, and safety standards.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers to execute project tasks and meet client requirements.
