Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join our MEICA team in Abu Dhabi, supporting pumping stations, HVAC systems and water infrastructure design. You will work under senior engineers through concept to IFC, performing calculations, selecting equipment, and producing drawings and reports.

You will gain experience across design stages, participate in meetings and site visits, and develop skills in interdisciplinary coordination while adhering to client and authority requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
• Understanding of fluid mechanics, hydraulics, pumps and piping systems.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC principles and equipment selection.
• Familiarity with engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Good English writing and speaking skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of mechanical design for water infrastructure components.
• Assist with mechanical calculations, equipment selection and technical reports.
• Size and select pumps, valves and piping under supervision.
• Review hydraulic information and equipment operating conditions.
• Prepare pumping-station layouts, PFDs and mechanical schematics.
• Coordinate with electrical, BIM and other disciplines.
• Participate in design meetings and site visits.
