Your new role, what's involved:

  1. Providing technical inputs for Environmental (and Social) Impact Assessments, CEMPs, EMS, and related documentation.
  2. Supporting your team and the wider WSP group in project and proposal inputs.
  3. Coordinating with subconsultants and undertaking baseline surveys for EIAs and monitoring.
  4. Ensuring environmental and sustainability permits are achieved during design and construction phases.
  5. Understanding and implementing environmental management plans and systems.
  6. Assessing environmental performance on projects.
  7. Having a commercial acumen and experience in writing proposals and reports.
  8. Supporting your professional development through diverse projects, mentoring, and training.
  9. Coordinating with stakeholders to support project delivery within the environmental scope.
  10. Experience liaising with international lenders and conducting international assessments is beneficial.

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

  • A degree in one of the specified fields.
  • Comfort in liaising directly with contractors and undertaking site work.
  • A specialty in an environmental field (beneficial).
  • Experience in consultancy or as an environmental specialist on large infrastructure projects.
  • A good understanding of technical environmental disciplines.
  • Knowledge of Middle East environmental legislation and practices.
  • Experience working in Saudi Arabia (advantageous).
  • Stakeholder and public engagement skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency in English; additional languages like Arabic or French are beneficial.
  • Some sustainability knowledge (beneficial).
