Job description

To create a developmental opportunity for new trainees working in the CAMO environment to fulfill experience over a 2-year period. This encompasses multiple areas of learning, including AMP, Systems, Reliability, Warranty, Propulsion, APU, short/long term maintenance, Technical Records, Technical Library, logistics, Rotable management, and special projects.

The individual will learn how to evaluate and manage AD’s and SB and how to translate this knowledge into business control measures for the airline.

Responsibilities
  • On a day-to-day basis, support the engineering development engineers or other CAMO staff in providing support to maintenance (Line, Hangar, MCC, other CAMO departments), including performance review, analysis of requests, management reporting, corrective measures, and necessary modifications.
  • Carry out a training program as agreed with the Air Arabia training Manager and the Head of Engineering.
  • Utilize data gathered from different sources to conduct, under supervision, technical root-cause analysis and troubleshooting to decide on aircraft efficiency and maintenance needs.
  • Analyze data and technical performance reports, under supervision, to identify trends, highlight findings, and suggest solutions and proactive modifications.
  • Identify corrective measures and modifications, under supervision, to fix any damages or airworthiness findings, recommending AMP inclusions/exclusions along with justification and supporting evidence as required.
  • Review technical documents, under supervision, as per TPM section 5, for implementation of modifications/repairs subject to CAMO management acceptance.
  • Carry out training in other areas of the CAMO engineering environment such as Projects and Warranty.
  • Assist in the closure of occurrence reports under supervision.
  • Participate in function-related meetings/conferences and events both internally and externally.
  • Continue to engage in personal development, undertaking such training as deemed required by the training Manager and the Head of Engineering.
  • Perform any other duties as advised by the direct supervisor.
Qualifications (Academic, Training, Languages)
  • A degree in Aircraft Engineering/Electro-Mechanical/Aeronautical or equivalent (LAE); alternatively, a higher diploma or certificate in the related field from a recognized university or engineering college combined with needed experience and exposure.
  • Capable of using technology systems and tools; proficient in Microsoft Office, MRO systems, and web search.
  • Very good written and verbal communication skills: reporting, presentations, etc.
  • Very good in English Language.
Work Experience
  • 2-5 years in a university with a specialization in Aviation.
  • Experienced in aircraft airworthiness program requirements and regulations, such as CAMO (Continuing Airworthiness Management Organization) requirements.
  • Understanding of aircraft planning/maintenance systems and techniques and their relation to the aircraft maintenance program.
  • Familiar with rules and regulations of Civil Aviation Authorities, preferably GCAA, pertaining to Engineering Maintenance, policies, procedures, and manuals.
  • Can demonstrate a working knowledge of EASA part 145, part 21, and sub-part “M” requirements.
  • Experienced in working with a team of professionals in a frequently changing environment.
  • High accuracy and attention to both results and details.
  • Relative exposure to Flight Operations is a plus.
  • Cost-oriented, possessing good problem-solving skills.
  • Employs knowledge and interpersonal relations to support the company’s objectives.
