Collaborate with dynamic, cross-functional and international teams
As a Government Relations Officer, your job duties include staying current on existing and proposed legislation in UAE, building good relations with relevant government officials, and updating management on relevant laws and regulations.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Managing end-to-end immigration and labour processes, including employment visas, work permits, labour contracts, visa cancellations, status changes, and dependent visas.
- Coordinating with UAE government authorities including ICP, MOHRE, Municipalities, Economic Departments, Pension Authorities, and other regulatory bodies.
- Ensuring all company licenses, commercial registrations, permits, establishment cards, and government records remain valid and are renewed on time.
- Supporting regulatory compliance activities related to labour laws, Emiratization requirements, pension registrations, WPS compliance, and government reporting obligations.
- Maintaining government portals, online accounts, and authorized representative records to ensure uninterrupted business operations.
- Building and maintaining professional relationships with government stakeholders and relevant external service providers.
- Providing advice and guidance to employees, managers, HR, Legal, Finance, and business leaders on government-related requirements and processes.
- Tracking regulatory developments and communicating potential impacts, risks, and compliance requirements to management.
- Preparing and maintaining accurate records, trackers, reports, and documentation relating to immigration, licensing, and government compliance activities.
- Supporting audits, inspections, and internal compliance reviews related to government affairs matters.
- Driving process improvements and digitalization initiatives to enhance service delivery, compliance, and employee experience.
- Ensuring adherence to company policies, ethical standards, and local regulatory requirements.

To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a Bachelor's degree or diploma from an accredited university or college is preferred.
- Have 5+ years of experience in a Government Relations role in UAE
- Should have relevant experience working with government departments and handling visa and immigration processes.
- Display excellent communication skills with fluency in written & spoken English & Arabic
- Ability to multi-task effectively and balance priorities in an ever changing, fast-moving, time-sensitive environment
- Be able to anticipate needs and make judgement calls within your area of expertise and responsibility
- Display a high value for integrity, kindness and show a sense of humor
- Be a proactive, motivated self-starter, maintaining discipline and focus in managing long term initiatives without close supervision
