Job Description

  1. Greet all members and guests in a warm, friendly, and professional manner, ensuring a positive first impression and lasting experience.
  2. Provide prompt assistance at the bag drop, including loading and unloading golf bags, with attention to care and personalized service.
  3. Offer information on tee times, course rules, club policies, and general facility knowledge with accuracy and courtesy.
  4. Prepare and stage golf carts prior to play, ensuring they are fully stocked with scorecards, tees, towels, pencils, and GPS systems.
  5. Clean, sanitize, and park golf carts after use, ensuring all vehicles are maintained to the highest standard of cleanliness and functionality.
  6. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the cart barn, staging area, and bag storage facilities.
  7. Set up and maintain the driving range, short game area, and practice greens, including ball collection, basket stocking, and hitting station upkeep.
  8. Monitor ball supply and range cleanliness throughout the day, ensuring a premium practice environment at all times.
  9. Serve as a starter or on-course player assistant when scheduled, managing tee time flow, enforcing pace of play, and upholding golf etiquette.
  10. Provide assistance and information to players on-course, always representing the club in a professional and courteous manner.
  11. Assist with tournament setup and breakdown, including signage, cart staging, range setup, and scoring coordination as needed.
  12. Support special events and outings by ensuring the highest level of readiness and service across all operational touchpoints.
  13. Communicate member and guest feedback, safety concerns, or equipment/facility issues promptly to the PGA Professional or Head of Golf.
  14. Adhere to all club safety standards, operational procedures, and Troon service expectations.

Desired Candidate Profile

  1. Customer Service Skills, friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor when dealing with guests and members.
  2. Communication Skills, clear verbal communication for providing information and handling guest inquiries.
  3. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  4. Prior experience in customer service or golf operations is an asset.
  5. Friendly, outgoing personality with strong communication skills.
  6. Knowledge of the game of golf and golf course etiquette is a plus.
