Job Description
- Greet all members and guests in a warm, friendly, and professional manner, ensuring a positive first impression and lasting experience.
- Provide prompt assistance at the bag drop, including loading and unloading golf bags, with attention to care and personalized service.
- Offer information on tee times, course rules, club policies, and general facility knowledge with accuracy and courtesy.
- Prepare and stage golf carts prior to play, ensuring they are fully stocked with scorecards, tees, towels, pencils, and GPS systems.
- Clean, sanitize, and park golf carts after use, ensuring all vehicles are maintained to the highest standard of cleanliness and functionality.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the cart barn, staging area, and bag storage facilities.
- Set up and maintain the driving range, short game area, and practice greens, including ball collection, basket stocking, and hitting station upkeep.
- Monitor ball supply and range cleanliness throughout the day, ensuring a premium practice environment at all times.
- Serve as a starter or on-course player assistant when scheduled, managing tee time flow, enforcing pace of play, and upholding golf etiquette.
- Provide assistance and information to players on-course, always representing the club in a professional and courteous manner.
- Assist with tournament setup and breakdown, including signage, cart staging, range setup, and scoring coordination as needed.
- Support special events and outings by ensuring the highest level of readiness and service across all operational touchpoints.
- Communicate member and guest feedback, safety concerns, or equipment/facility issues promptly to the PGA Professional or Head of Golf.
- Adhere to all club safety standards, operational procedures, and Troon service expectations.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Customer Service Skills, friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor when dealing with guests and members.
- Communication Skills, clear verbal communication for providing information and handling guest inquiries.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior experience in customer service or golf operations is an asset.
- Friendly, outgoing personality with strong communication skills.
- Knowledge of the game of golf and golf course etiquette is a plus.
