Job summary

Salt is seeking a Global Technical Product Owner - AI & ML to lead Generative AI products and enterprise AI capabilities within a leading banking environment. You will bridge business strategy, data science and engineering to translate AI into secure, scalable solutions.

Define strategy and roadmaps, own multi-squad backlogs, establish KPIs, governance and observability, and drive adoption of AI tools such as Azure OpenAI, LangChain and Pinecone.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in product management for AI-enabled automation and enterprise tech.
• Proven track record delivering enterprise AI platforms and leading cross-functional technical teams.
• Strong knowledge of Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, RLHF, and agentic workflows.
• Experience with agile product management, portfolio prioritisation, and multi-team delivery.
• Knowledge of AI evaluation, observability, governance, and responsible AI principles.
• Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Information Systems, or related field. Certifications in product or AI strategy are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the product strategy and roadmap for Generative AI solutions, aligned with business transformation objectives.
• Translate AI strategy into prioritised initiatives, product requirements and scalable enterprise solutions.
• Lead cross-functional teams across AI, data science, engineering and business functions to deliver high-impact AI products.
• Own and manage multi-squad product backlogs, prioritisation, agile execution and cross-platform dependencies.
• Establish evaluation frameworks for LLMs and agentic workflows, defining KPIs, ROI measures and performance benchmarks.
• Drive AI observability, governance, fairness and regulatory compliance across the product lifecycle.
• Engage senior stakeholders, translating complex technical capabilities into clear business outcomes and executive-level narratives.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and drive adoption of LLMs, RAG, agentic systems and tools such as Azure OpenAI, LangChain and Pinecone.
• Lead and develop the team, fostering innovation, continuous improvement and effective product delivery.

• Experience with agile product management, portfolio prioritisation, backlog ownership and multi-team delivery.
• Knowledge of AI evaluation, observability, governance and responsible AI principles.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and executive engagement skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Information Systems or a related discipline.
• Product management or AI strategy certifications are advantageous.
