Global Senior Manager Process Excellence & Innovation DP World
Job Purpose:
The Purpose of the Global Senior Manager Process Excellence & Innovation is to drive continuous improvement and innovation focused initiatives across Freight Forwarding Globally, ensuring focus on continuous improvement, automation & digitalization.
Key Accountabilities:
- Establish and oversee process improvements across Supply Chain (Q2C).
- Drive business process and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Champion automation and digitalization initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and quality.
- Oversee the successful establishment and optimization of control towers by enforcing global process KPIs.
- Work with partner teams like tech, data analytics teams and equip teams with optimized / digital solutions.
- Identify opportunities to implement latest disruptive initiatives aimed at reducing time and increasing operations quality.
- Implement mechanisms to provide visibility of all innovation and tech projects to leadership.
- Develop and manage the technology innovation budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
- Identify opportunities to implement automation tools across businesses impacting the supply chain positively.
- Take ownership from initial phase of Pilots to launch/go-live.
- Automate and optimize Control Tower teams and equip them with digital and innovation-based tools.
- Define, audit and implement global processes and standard KPIs/metrics.
- Work with data analytics and technical teams to build process excellence solutions.
- Develop and document Current state and Future state of processes along with business cases.
- Identify and support the development of metrics/measurement tools according to customer requirements.
Process Excellence and Continuous Improvement Initiatives:
- Identify opportunities for process optimisation and efficiency gains.
- Lead cross-functional teams to implement process improvement projects.
- Monitor and report on the progress and impact of improvement initiatives.
- Provide training and guidance to team members on process governance and process excellence methodologies.
- Foster a culture of learning and innovation within the global air and ocean freight teams.
- Coordinate onboarding new trading partners to enable data exchange.
- Facilitate communication and testing with external partners to ensure compliance with EDI standards.
- Ensure that business impacts of projects are properly managed and communicated.
- Spearhead implementation of innovative tech and operational excellence initiatives.
- Design and execute pilot programs and prototypes for testing and validating new technologies.
- Evaluate the feasibility, scalability, and impact of innovative solutions.
- Drive organizational change by championing the adoption of innovative technologies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of new technologies.
- Coordinate with internal and external project stakeholders as required.
- Define and follow-up project timelines to meet project objectives and customer expectations.
- Monitor and report project status and establish a continuous improvement cycle.
Data Analytics and Automation:
- Identify opportunities for automation and process enhancements.
- Collect, analyse, and interpret data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Work with partner teams to develop intelligent dashboards and tools for Global Control Towers and FF stations.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Master's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in business implementation, continuous improvement in the logistics industry.
- Proven knowledge of Process Excellence and innovation initiatives implementation in logistics or freight forwarding industry.
- Strong organizational skills (prioritize, plan, assign and control).
- Project management skills with the ability to plan, execute, and monitor projects.
- Strong understanding of air and ocean freight operations and regulations.
- Goal and team driven, good motivator and facilitator.
- Exceptional communication and leadership abilities.
- 10+ years of experience in managing and delivering digital projects, driving technology-based innovation in large logistics or supply chain organizations with at least 5 years+ in a leadership role.
