Job Description:
The Global Protection & Security (GP&S) Executive Protection Senior Manager is a critical member of the Executive Protection (EP) team with expertise in coordinating protective operations and event security protocols. The incumbent will manage vendors, equipment/technology, residential security initiatives, travel support, facilities assessments, region event security initiatives and close protection duties. In addition, the incumbent will collaborate with cross-functional partners, contractors, and vendors on threat response plans, executive transportation/travel logistics, persons of interest investigations, behavioral threat assessment investigations, security asset monitoring, and travel tracking programs. The incumbent will also work closely with global event planners at Accenture-hosted events and external events where Accenture personnel are present in their region.
This position reports directly to the Associate Director of Protective Services and is expected to develop a close collaborative relationship with leadership from Accenture’s Businesses and Corporate Functions, including the Office of the CEO, CIO, Cyber Security, Legal, Travel, Workplace, Meetings & Events, Marketing & Communications, as well as HR. The incumbent is expected to liaise with domestic and foreign law enforcement, diplomatic organizations, and intelligence services.
The incumbent will provide executive protection and security leadership in a complex corporate environment that values collaboration, independent thinking, proactive problem-solving, integrity, collegiality, efficiency, and continuous organizational transformation.
Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Serves as the primary point of contact for residential security initiatives impacting Accenture’s executives, to include the maintenance of emergency response team protocols, development of incident reporting procedures and security assessments of identified properties in the assigned region.
- Coordinates executive protection vendors and accompanying support for executive travel in alignment with GP&S standard operating procedures, in conjunction with ensuring threat/risk assessments are conducted as needed.
- Coordinates with Accenture’s 24/7 Security Operations Center (SOC) for executive protection and event asset monitoring, geo-fence recommendations and incident notification to the executive protection team.
- Facilitates information sharing with Accenture’s SOC for regional events, along with executive travel and logistics.
- Collaborates closely with other GP&S teams for executive protection threat assessments, regional risk concerns, persons of interest investigations, behavioral threat assessments and threat response mitigation.
- Supports development and delivery of expanded GP&S executive protection and event security programs to ensure proper support for Accenture’s executive leadership and global events.
- Coordinates across Accenture business units and within GP&S to ensure executive specific security standards are installed as needed at Accenture facilities.
- Engages in cross-functional support of GP&S through facilities assessments in line with Accenture facility standards, as well as risk/threat/vulnerability assessments, security advances, site advances, and other areas as identified.
- Collaborates frequently with event planners at all levels, participating in pre-planning calls for upcoming events, coordinating appropriate event security support and staffing, and serving as the primary point of contact for events within the assigned region.
- Serves as the primary close protection agent for any executive, as needed, which may require management of the executive’s personal logistics and coordination with executive staff.
- Ensures adherence to corporate policies, specifically in the areas of privacy and record retention.
- Other duties as assigned.
Role Requirements:
- Incumbent must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as operational needs dictate and can travel on short notice, to include internationally.
- Expected travel is significant and maybe up to 50%.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- A minimum of 9 years relevant security experience from a government agency or private entity must include work in executive protection and event security.
- Minimum of 5 years in the private sector working with executive leadership logistics, travel security, events, or other applicable experience.
- A college degree from an accredited college or university.
- A minimum of 10 years proficiency in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Office 365).
Preferred Skills:
- Specialized training in executive protection operations and logistics from a government agency or private security equivalent.
- Fluency in other languages
- An advanced degree
