What Does a Global Mobility Specialist Do?
- Oversee the daily coordination and execution of international assignments and transfers
- Provide employees with tailored mobility services that ensure efficiency and a positive relocation experience
- Collaborate with HR, finance, and business units to manage compliance with tax, immigration, and social security regulations
- Coordinate with external vendors handling visa processing, tax services, shipment, and destination support
- Use assignment management systems to streamline operations and generate performance insights
- Resolve complex mobility queries and make decisions on exception cases
- Act as a mobility advisor, promoting DP World's culture and values during every employee interaction
- Maintain alignment with global mobility best practices and ensure safety and ethics compliance
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure timely and accurate relocation support for inbound and outbound international assignees
- Support cross-border transfers, especially to and from hardship locations
- Manage vendor performance and service delivery across assignment stages
- Monitor and reduce costs through efficient mobility program management
- Provide advice on assignment compensation, tax equalization, and relocation benefits
- Partner with business stakeholders to support planning and talent deployment initiatives
Skills Needed for a Global Mobility Specialist in Dubai
Education and Experience
- Relevant experience in global mobility with a focus on international assignments across regions
- Familiarity with Middle East, Africa, Europe, Asia Pacific, and Americas mobility practices
- Background in mobility services for hardship or complex locations
Technical Skills
- In-depth knowledge of global immigration, international taxation, social security, and risk mitigation
- Broad understanding of reward structures and mobility-related compensation
- Experience using assignment management systems and vendor platforms
Soft Skills
