The Head of Procurement will lead and manage the end-to-end procurement strategy, ensuring effective sourcing, cost optimization, contract negotiations, vendor risk management, and regulatory compliance. This role is crucial for supporting the company's rapid scaling and infrastructure needs while maintaining financial discipline, supplier integrity, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement the procurement strategy aligned with business goals, budgets, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities, supplier consolidation, and spend optimization.
- Collaborate with key departments (Tech, Admin, HR, Legal, Compliance) to forecast procurement needs.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate contracts with suppliers and service providers across categories (IT infrastructure, SaaS, HR services, office facilities, marketing, etc.).
- Implement vendor scorecards and performance reviews.
- Ensure all supplier contracts comply with legal, regulatory, and internal policy requirements.
Process & Compliance :
Establish and standardize procurement policies, procedures, and approval workflows.Ensure procurement compliance with CBUAE, AML / CTF requirements (where applicable), and internal controls.Manage procurement documentation, purchase orders, and records in line with audit readiness.Cost Control & Reporting :
Monitor procurement KPIs including savings achieved, procurement cycle time, and budget adherence.Track and report procurement spend by category, business unit, and region.Support Finance in accruals, cost allocations, and cash flow forecasts.Assess and manage procurement risks, including supplier viability, data security risks with SaaS tools, and delivery disruptions.Collaborate with Legal and Compliance on risk clauses and contract indemnities.Lead and develop a high-performing procurement team.Foster a culture of commercial awareness, compliance, and continuous improvement.Qualifications & Experience :
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or related field; MBA or CIPS certification preferred.7–10 years of procurement experience, with 3–5 years in a leadership role.Experience in fintech, payments, or tech-driven environments is a strong advantage.Strong understanding of UAE procurement laws and regulatory frameworks.Proven experience managing procurement for IT, SaaS, facilities, professional services, and cross-border vendors.Strong negotiation and contract management skills.Strategic thinking with analytical and budgeting capabilities.Proficiency in procurement tools (SAP Ariba, Oracle, Zoho, Netsuite, etc.).High integrity, risk awareness, and compliance orientation.Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.KPIs :
Procurement cost savings (%) vs. previous year.Average procurement cycle time (RFQ to PO).Contract compliance and renewal lead time.Audit findings related to procurement processes.Seniority level
