Job summary

Siemens Energy in the United Arab Emirates seeks a Commissioning Engineer to lead the installation, testing, and commissioning of gas turbines at customer sites worldwide. You will travel internationally to troubleshoot issues, collaborate with project teams, and ensure safe, on-time delivery of power generation assets.

You will configure PLC/SCADA, perform pre-commissioning activities, and lead start-up efforts.

Qualifications

Degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, or related Engineering.
Hands-on commissioning experience: pre-commissioning, testing, validation, and start-up of industrial or power generation equipment.
Experience configuring, troubleshooting, and optimizing PLC/SCADA and other control systems.
Strong problem-solving abilities across mechanical, electrical, and control challenges.
Excellent English communication; able to work independently and in international teams.

Responsibilities

Lead installation, testing, and commissioning of gas turbines at customer sites.
Perform pre-commissioning inspections, testing, and validation for safe operation.
Configure, test, and troubleshoot PLC, SCADA, and control systems for optimal performance.
Lead start-up activities, diagnose issues, and implement effective solutions during commissioning.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet schedule, safety, and customer requirements.
