Job summary

UL Solutions is seeking an Engineering Leader to guide Security & Fire Detection engineering teams across Europe and the Middle East. You will own an international, highly skilled team delivering certification work for safety products globally.

You will foster a culture of accountability, mentor engineers, and collaborate with customers and cross-functional stakeholders while supporting growth and continuous improvement in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering; electronics experience is a plus.
• Several years of experience leading technical, engineering or project-based teams.
• Strong knowledge of Security & Fire Detection sub-segments.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a growing team of engineers and project handlers.
• Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability and collaboration.
• Provide mentoring, training and career development opportunities.
• Support engineers in developing technical, project management and time management skills.
• Foster an open-door leadership style where employees feel heard and empowered.
• Manage team workload, capacity and capability to ensure projects are resourced.
• Monitor project pipelines and address capacity constraints and risks.
• Drive process improvements that enhance efficiency, quality and customer satisfaction.
• Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Travel 10-25% and travel globally as needed.
