Job summary

AW Rostamani Holdings LLC in Dubai seeks an experienced Customs Clearance Coordinator to manage end-to-end customs clearance and related documentation for import/export shipments. You will coordinate with customs authorities, chambers, consulates, and freight forwarders to ensure timely delivery orders and compliant documentation.

The role requires handling non-resident client documentation and guiding junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree holder.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in freight forwarding and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate end-to-end customs clearance and documentation activities for import and export shipments, ensuring timely collection of delivery orders and accurate document preparation.
• Arrange the collection of delivery orders by preparing cheque requests and all required documentation for assigned clients.
• Manage communications and documentation for non-resident clients.
• Handle NVOCC global import and personal effects shipments in accordance with applicable procedures.
• Liaise with Customs, Chambers of Commerce, freight forwarders, consulates and other authorities to ensure smooth processing.
• Coordinate air and sea export shipments as per customer requirements and provide regular shipment status updates.
• Ensure timely submission and follow-up of all customs documentation to meet regulatory deadlines.
• Oversee documentation activities in the absence of the Supervisor or Manager to ensure continuity of operations.
• Coordinate with customers to ensure smooth and efficient execution of clearance and documentation processes.
• Supervise and support documentation assistants and clerks, providing guidance as required.
• Provide accurate and timely customs port and rate-related information to the Operations Manager on request.
• Stay updated on changes in customs, shipping port, chamber and consulate regulations, tariffs and procedures.
• Provide complete and accurate documentation to customers in line with their requirements.
