German Speaking Vice President Real Estate Investments

The Vice President (VP) of Real Estate Investments (German-Speaking) is a senior leadership role responsible for sourcing, underwriting, and managing real estate investments across German-speaking markets (Germany, Austria, Switzerland - DACH region) and potentially broader European opportunities. The VP will lead transactions, optimize portfolio performance, and manage relationships with German-speaking investors, developers, and financial institutions.

Qualifications & Requirements

1. Education & Experience: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, or Business; CFA or MRICS preferred. 7+ years in DACH real estate investments, private equity, or investment banking. Proven track record of closed deals in German-speaking markets.
2. Technical Skills: Advanced Excel and German real estate tools (Bulwiengesa, JLL Market Reports). Knowledge of German tax laws (Grundsteuer, KSt), lease structures (Indexmiete), and ESG (EnEV, GEG).
3. Language & Soft Skills: Fluent in German (C1/C2) and English – written and spoken. Strong negotiation skills with German-speaking stakeholders. Ability to navigate German bureaucracy and legal processes.
4. Ideal Candidate Profile: Market Expert: Deep understanding of Berlin, Munich, Frankfurt, Vienna, or Zurich markets. Deal Closer: Experience with German notary closings and financing structures. Bilingual Leader: Ability to operate seamlessly in German and English business environments.
