Job summary

DZ PRIVATBANK (Schweiz) AG is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineering Manager / Ground Engineering Director to lead geotechnical design, site investigations, and technical delivery for large infrastructure projects in the region. You will oversee investigations, analysis, and engineering solutions.

The role requires a degree in geotechnical or civil engineering, 7-10+ years in geotechnical or ground engineering, and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• Degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering required.
• 7–10+ years in geotechnical or ground engineering.
• Strong knowledge of soil mechanics, foundation engineering, slope stability and ground improvement.
• Experience with geotechnical analysis and design software.
• Leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in large-scale infrastructure, buildings, marine, or construction projects is preferred.

• Identify and manage geotechnical risks and construction challenges.
• Monitor technical quality, project deliverables, and engineering performance.
• Support design reviews, tendering, construction, and site activities.

Requirements

• Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• 7-10+ years of experience in geotechnical or ground engineering.
• Strong knowledge of soil mechanics, foundation engineering, slope stability, and ground improvement.
• Experience with geotechnical analysis and design software.
• Strong technical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in infrastructure, buildings, marine, or large-scale construction projects is preferred.
• Professional Engineer / Chartered Engineer status is an advantage.
