Job summary

SOCOTEC is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer in Abu Dhabi to provide geotechnical engineering services meeting local authority requirements, review investigations, soil improvements, dewatering, and design parameters per Abu Dhabi code.

The role requires reviewing reports, attending technical meetings, delivering high-quality work, and leading QA within an engineering team while maintaining client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Job description

Description of the Role

Provide Geotechnical engineering services as per authoritys requirements including but not limited to:

• Be familiar with soil test work permit requirement boreholes numbers & depth for different kind of buildings/ infrastructure method statements and scope of work
• Review geotechnical investigation reports including shallow foundation and deep pile recommendations/calculations liquefaction analysis seismic design parameter as per Abu Dhabi code
• Review geophysical investigation reports using different methods (MASW-ERT-CHS-DHS)
• Review dewatering method statements and calculation/drawings
• Review soil improvement reports method statements and calculations as well as various types of soil improvements technics (surface dynamic compaction drainage methods vibration methods precompression and consolidation grouting and injection chemical stabilization soil reinforcement geo textiles and geo membranes stone columns) and quality control test results review all soil test results prior any site foundation work
• Attend technical meetings as required by the project and the clients
