Job summary

Esri's R&D Center-Sharjah in the UAE is seeking a Software Development Engineer to build foundation and task-specific DL/LLM models for GIS imagery data. You will create tools, APIs, and sample applications that demonstrate AI across ArcGIS platforms, advancing geospatial analysis with state-of-the-art AI.

You will explore transformer models, CV/LP tasks, AI agents, and multi-modal data workflows, contributing to cutting-edge research and production-ready solutions in a collaborative team

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/engineering from top-tier college.
• 1+ years of Python in data science, DL, and LLM.
• Existing work authorization for UAE.
• Experience with DL on satellite imagery/geospatial data is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop tools, APIs and pretrained models for DL and LLM workflows for imagery.
• Develop foundation models for computer vision, language, location and multimodal data.
• Develop AI Agents/Assistants to perform imagery tasks.
• Author and maintain samples showcasing AI/LLM applications in ArcGIS platforms.
• Perform comparative studies of AI architectures for imagery tasks.
