Exciting opportunities have arisen for experienced Land Geophysicists to join Fugro, based in Dubai within our Land Site Characterization (LSC) business line. You will predominantly be involved and responsible for acquiring, collating, processing, interpreting, and reporting geophysical data and able to run/lead projects of low to medium complexity.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning / Logistics
    • Coordinate travel arrangements and identify resources and timescales.
    • Assist in the mobilization of projects including equipment testing and packing.
  • Testing
    • Process and interpret data.
    • Collect good-quality geophysical data using various techniques.
    • Maintain continuous communication and liaison with clients and other project stakeholders to ensure timely submission of deliverables and client satisfaction.
    • Produce high-quality reports and deliverables for clients.
    • Maintain communication with office-based project managers to report site progress and planning.
    • Assist in the maintenance and good working of the geophysical equipment.
    • Act as the Company representative on site.
  • Project Accounting
    • Understand the terms of procurement of our services to ensure contractual interest.

You Bring (Qualifications & Experience)

  • BSc / MSc or equivalent in Geophysics, Geology, or related discipline.
  • 2-5 years of experience working in a similar discipline.
  • Experience in compiling reports and other data outputs, conducting proper quality control of data interpretation and reports/deliverables, and managing the production of geophysical data deliverables.
  • An excellent communicator (verbally and written) and able to form good working relationships with clients and colleagues at all levels.
  • Ability to prioritize workload to meet project deadlines.
  • Good attention to detail, quality, and safety.
  • Disciplined, self-motivated, and flexible team player.
