Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Engineer

Position Overview: The GIS Engineer will be responsible for managing and analyzing spatial data related to pipeline operations in the oil & gas industry. The role requires expertise in GIS database maintenance, mapping, and data documentation.

Qualifications: B.S. or equivalent degree in Engineering from an accredited university, with a minimum of six (6) years of experience in the GIS domain, including at least three (3) years in the oil & gas industry.

Technical Skills:

1. Strong working knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS V10.x, ArcGIS Pro 2.x or higher.
2. Experience in maintaining GIS databases, mapping, and documenting data for pipeline operations.
3. Proficiency with ArcGIS Spatial Analyst and 3D Analyst.
4. Experience with maintaining SDE layers in an ESRI ArcGIS Server SDE environment (Oracle or SQL Server).
5. Skills in GIS analytics, geo-processing, data integration, and publishing raster and vector services.
6. Knowledge of scripting languages such as SQL and Python, and tools like Safe Software FME, ArcGIS Model Builder.
7. Familiarity with Oracle SQL, MS Access, and SQL Server.
