Job description

An opportunity has arisen for a Geo-Environmental Consultant to join our business in the UAE.

The Successful Candidate’s Duties And Responsibilities Will Include

  • Participating in a variety of geo-environmental projects
  • Assisting with ground investigations and desk studies.
  • Soil logging to current set standards, including laboratory scheduling.
  • Writing factual and interpretative reports.
  • Geotechnical reporting requirements beneficial.
  • Processing site investigation data.
  • Travel to other offices and sites within the region (as needed).
  • Timely data management, processing and reporting.
  • Oversee monitoring equipment hiring/off-hiring, maintenance, servicing and repairs.
  • Adhere to all RSK company policies and adhere to client policies and procedures when on site.


Person Specification

  • Hold a 2:1 or 1st class honours degree in geology, hydrogeology, geography, geosciences, environmental or environmental earth science. MSc desirable but not essential.
  • Ideally working towards chartered status with a relevant institution.
  • At least 2-5 years specific relevant experience.
  • An understanding of geology, ground investigation works, contaminated land, geotechnical investigation.
  • Able to complete factual and interpretative assessments.
  • Able to deliver projects and work within a multi-disciplinary consultancy.
  • Track record in managing time and resources effectively and within budget.
  • Clear communicator and a team player.
  • Happy to be challenged by demanding site work.
  • Ability to follow instructions, work part of a multi-disciplinary team and work solo, using own initiative.
  • Commitment to safety and improving ways of working.
  • Self-motivated, solutions focused, organised with effective time management.
  • Familiar with (leading to competent) use of data management tools and reporting software.
