Job summary

NorthBay Solutions in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Generative AI Engineer to join the Applied AI function for a UAE Government Department. You will build production-ready GenAI applications, work with LLMs, RAG, and Azure AI Foundry, and deliver end-to-end AI solutions across frontend, backend, and data systems.

The role requires 3–6 years of professional AI/engineering experience, strong Python skills, and hands-on work with modern JS frameworks and cloud deployment.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of professional experience in AI Engineering, Generative AI, Software Engineering, ML, Data Science, or related areas.
• Hands-on experience building GenAI/LLM-based applications and AI-powered products.
• Strong Python skills and experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks.
• Backend experience with FastAPI/Flask/Node.js and cloud deployment on Azure.
• Familiarity with RAG, embeddings, vector databases, prompt/context engineering, and LLM APIs.

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy LLM-powered applications, AI assistants, copilots, and autonomous/agentic solutions.
• Design RAG-based systems, semantic search, embeddings, and vector databases.
• Develop full AI products spanning frontend, backend, APIs, databases, and orchestration.
• Connect AI models with enterprise platforms, data sources, and internal systems.
• Move AI solutions from prototype to testing to production deployment.
• Utilize Azure and cloud-native tech to deploy scalable AI applications.
• Ensure security, monitoring, evaluation, and reliability of AI solutions.
• Collaborate with product, business, and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into working AI services.
