Apt Resources is delighted to be recruiting for a General Technician for a stunning luxury resort located by the beautiful Red Sea. As a General Technician, you will play a key role in maintaining the resort's facilities, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and efficiently. Your expertise will provide our guests with the highest level of service, contributing to their unforgettable experience.

We are looking for someone who is proactive, skilled, and ready to tackle a variety of technical challenges in this dynamic environment!

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and ensure the proper functioning of all hotel building systems, including heating, cooling, plumbing, electrical, and related facilities.
  • Conduct routine maintenance inspections and troubleshoot issues as needed.
  • Perform maintenance activities in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas.
  • Repair and maintain hardware, plumbing fixtures, and electrical equipment.
  • Assist with the setup and cleanup of meeting rooms and event spaces.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to guest inquiries and service requests.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support seamless service delivery.
Qualifications
  • Technical/Vocational Certificate or Diploma in General Maintenance, Electrical, Mechanical, or a related field.
  • Training or coursework in building systems maintenance (plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry) is an advantage.
  • Certifications in safety standards (OSHA, First Aid, Fire Safety).
  • Proven experience as a General Technician, preferably within the hospitality or resort industry.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
