A luxury hotel in Dubai is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to handle mechanical equipment and ensure safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a technical degree and experience in maintenance tasks. Responsibilities include performing preventive maintenance, maintaining tools, and ensuring a clean and safe work environment. This role demands attention to detail and effective communication skills.
To perform the preventive maintenance tasks to all the mechanical equipment. To assist with other maintenance work as directed. To perform all requests and work orders related to mechanical equipment and other systems related.
To exchange and to repair mechanical installations and equipment. To submit reports to the Foreman and procurement on the condition of equipment and components. Responsible for working the required work orders and requests, for ensuring all areas are left in a safe and perfect operational condition and for the proper use and security of all humans & equipment.
Revenues, profits, cost effectiveness and ROI:
To manage effectively the spare parts control system as well as to get the best products which suites our standards and the highest quality without affecting our cost management.
To maintain the equipment and tools in good order and to maintain all stores organized.
And keeps the workshop clean, tidy and properly stocked.
Initiates orders for supplies for workshop and maintain records of work completed.
Management of human resources:
To show the interest in learning all available new technology and the latest products related to our values and brand standards and to be able to apply that in our hotel.
To share in the implementation of the training programs that will result in better productivity and better work environment.
To attend the conducted technical trainings, and to assure of the correct implementation.
Cooperates with and assists other tradesmen as directed.
To conduct himself in a manner as to encourage fellow employees to do likewise.
To be always efficient, courteous and pleasant and to show at all times a helpful attitude and never to talk in a loud voice to other employees.
Upkeep physical plants and building:
To regularly inspect all motors, switch gear, pumps and all other mechanical equipment.
To be responsible of using the PAT tester for all installation and equipment and keep the records for all the tested equipment, wiring, motors, pumps, ETC.
Complete the maintenance tasks to the maintenance programs and the weekly rote of plants rooms.
To maintain all company’s hand and fixed tools in good working order.
To submit reports to the foreman and the Director of Engineering on the condition of the mechanical equipment. (Timely / accurately)
Sustainable management and community activity:
To share in creation (and implementation) of energy saving plans matching with the overall Environmental policy of the hotel and 30/20 plan of Marriott International.
To have the interest on searching all the resources for getting the newest technology supportive to our energy saving plans.
To show the interest to not only participates in the community occasions but sharing in creation the events.
Safety and security:
To use the tag out lock out all the time for Safety.
Works in a safe manner concerning guests, employees, self, equipment and property.
Follow up with daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually control measure actions on the scheduled time.
To be able to apply the control measures of the risk assessments for the various areas and operation.
To be part in implementation of fire prevention and evacuation procedure for guest and staff.
