Job Description We are seeking a skilled and versatile General Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of various mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems throughout our facility.
Inspect, clean, maintain, and repair all MEP systems on the premises
Perform preventive maintenance procedures and utilize test equipment effectively
Maintain electrical systems and lighting throughout the facility
Service and repair HVAC units and systems
Troubleshoot and fix non-operational equipment promptly
Conduct chemical tests for boilers, chillers, motors, and other relevant systems
Manage inventory of parts and materials in the maintenance shop
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient completion of tasks
Adhere to safety protocols and local building codes and regulations
Respond to customer requests and maintenance emergencies in a timely manner
Document all maintenance activities and update records in the maintenance management system
Qualifications
Proven experience as a General Technician or in a similar role
Strong knowledge of MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing
Proficiency in preventive maintenance procedures and use of test equipment
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Familiarity with inventory management and parts ordering
Proficient in English language (verbal and written communication)
Ability to multi-task and work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Technical certifications in HVAC, electrical systems, or related fields (preferred)
Knowledge of safety protocols and compliance requirements
Basic computer skills for using maintenance management systems
