A leading healthcare provider in Sharjah is seeking a Consultant General Surgeon to deliver exemplary surgical care. The role involves leading surgical procedures, collaborating with healthcare teams, and ensuring the highest standard of patient care throughout their surgical journey. Ideal candidates will possess an M.D., board certification, and extensive surgical experience.
We are excited to invite applications for the position of Consultant General Surgeon. This role is essential to our commitment to providing exemplary surgical care to our patients. The Consultant General Surgeon will lead surgical procedures, provide expert medical guidance, and ensure that all patients receive the highest standard of care throughout their surgical journey.
Primary Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive evaluations of patients to assess the need for surgery
Execute a variety of general surgical operations, demonstrating both technical proficiency and patient safety
Oversee the patient's overall care, from pre-operative preparations to post-operative recovery
Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement effective treatment plans for patients
Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding surgical procedures and recovery expectations
Engage in continuous professional development and stay current with advancements in surgical techniques and practices
Participate in departmental meetings, clinical audits, and peer review activities
Maintain detailed and accurate medical records in compliance with regulatory standards
Requirements
M.D. or equivalent medical degree from an accredited institution
Completion of an accredited residency program in General Surgery
Board certification in General Surgery is mandatory
At least 5 years of post-residency experience in a surgical role
Proven expertise in a wide array of general surgical procedures
Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous improvement
Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages is advantageous
