General Superintendent Security (UAE National)
Role: General Superintendent Security
Function: ESG & Sustainability / Security, Fire & Rescue
Location: Al Taweelah, Abu Dhabi
Job Purpose: To monitor and assist in the effective implementation of the localized EGA's corporate Security control/protection strategic plans, policies, and programs across the assigned plant operations, ensuring adherence to world-class Security control/protection practices in accordance with international and local legislation and standards.
Key Accountabilities
- Policies, Processes & Procedures: Implements approved departmental policies, systems, processes, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with all procedural and legislative requirements while delivering a quality, cost-effective service.
- Day-to-Day Operations: Supervises the implementation of daily security operations to ensure compliance with established policies, processes, and procedures.
- Investigation & Reporting: Oversees incident investigations and reporting, collaborating with appropriate agencies as necessary, and makes recommendations based on incident outcomes.
- Training & Embedment: Plans and conducts security training to promote awareness and reduce incidents.
- Maintenance, Testing & Inspection: Coordinates maintenance and testing of security systems to ensure operational readiness.
- Regulatory Compliance: Evaluates workplace security measures, ensuring compliance with local and international standards, and recommends improvements.
- Safety, Quality & Environment: Ensures adherence to safety, quality, and environmental policies to maintain a healthy work environment.
- People Management: Supervises security personnel, providing feedback and ensuring efficient department operations.
Related Assignments: Performs other duties as assigned.
Authority & Decision-Making
Decision-making is guided by policies, standards, and specific objectives, with work direction based on established practices and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- Membership or accreditation with a recognized association (preferred)
Minimum Experience
- 4-6 years in Environment, Health, Safety, Fire, and Security (EHSFS) within manufacturing, including at least 2 years in managerial roles.
Skills
- Fluent in Arabic and English (preferred)
- Certified Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO)
- Knowledge of ISPS Code, Physical Information Security, Electronic Security Systems
- Experience with department administration and multinational teams
- Proficiency in SAP and computer applications
