Qualifications

General Superintendent Security (UAE National)

Job Purpose:

To monitor and assist in the effective implementation of EGA’s corporate Security control, protection strategic plans, policies, and programs across the plant operations, ensuring adherence to world-class security practices in accordance with international and local standards and legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Implement departmental policies, systems, processes, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with legislative requirements while providing quality, cost-effective security services.
  2. Supervise daily security operations to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  3. Oversee incident investigations, report security incidents, and recommend corrective actions.
  4. Plan and conduct security training to promote awareness and reduce incidents.
  5. Coordinate maintenance and testing of security systems; evaluate workplace security measures for compliance and improvement.
  6. Ensure safety, quality, and environmental policies are followed to maintain a safe work environment.
  7. Supervise security personnel, providing feedback and ensuring efficient work practices.
  8. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Authority & Decision-Making:

Operate within defined policies and standards, managing work output accordingly.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Membership or accreditation with a recognized security association preferred.
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience in Environment, Health, Safety, Fire, and Security, including at least 2 years in managerial roles within manufacturing industries.

Skills:

  • Bilingual in Arabic and English preferred.
  • Certified Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO).
  • Knowledge of ISPS Code, physical and electronic security systems.
  • Experience with security access control, CCTV, alarms, intrusion detection, and fire systems.
  • Experience managing a diverse, multinational team.
  • Proficiency in SAP and general computer skills.
