A leading holding company based in the UAE with a diverse portfolio spanning various industries is currently seeking a highly skilled and visionary General Manager for their mining division, which focuses on the exploration and extraction of copper and gold minerals. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead a critical segment of our operations and drive its growth on an international scale. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in the mining industry, with a strong emphasis on copper and gold, and a deep understanding of global mining markets and operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan for the mining division, ensuring alignment with the company's overall objectives and long-term goals.
  • Business Development: Identify and explore new business opportunities, including exploration projects, joint ventures, and international market expansion.
  • Operational Oversight: Oversee all aspects of the division’s operations, including exploration, extraction, and processing of copper and gold, ensuring efficiency and adherence to best practices.
  • Budget and Financial Management: Develop and manage the division’s budget, financial forecasts, and investment plans. Monitor financial performance, implement cost-control measures, and ensure profitability.
  • Performance Management: Set clear objectives and performance metrics for the division. Monitor progress, ensure targets are met or exceeded, and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local and international regulations, including environmental, health, and safety standards. Maintain strong relationships with regulatory agencies and manage permits and licenses.
  • Sustainability and Environmental Management: Promote and implement sustainability initiatives and best practices in environmental management to minimize the division’s impact.
  • Stakeholder Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, government officials, local communities, and industry partners. Represent the division at industry events and public forums.
