Overview

General Manager - MENAT. Based in Dubai and reporting directly to the Managing Director of Franchise, the General Manager, MENAT will oversee the operations, people, and growth trajectory across the Middle East, North Africa, and Turkey. This role is pivotal in ensuring the consistent delivery of the Joe & The Juice brand while driving expansion and operational excellence in both established and emerging markets.

The General Manager will embody the company’s pillars of Health, Experience, Convenience, and Sustainability, while implementing innovative, scalable systems to support long-term growth. Success in this role will be demonstrated through strong operational performance, strategic market development, and the continuous engagement and development of our Juicers — the heart of Joe & The Juice’s culture and customer experience.

Responsibilities
  • Operational Excellence
  • Drive operational excellence across all markets, ensuring the consistent delivery of the Joe & The Juice experience and embedding best practices region-wide.
  • Conduct biannual operational audits in each country, follow up with clear action plans, and ensure timely execution.
  • Ensure all stores deliver a best-in-class consumer journey, fostering emotional connection and brand loyalty at every touchpoint.
  • Business Performance & Growth
  • Meet or exceed revenue and profitability targets for the MENAT region.
  • Support regional growth objectives by assisting in site selection, feasibility studies, and market expansion plans.
  • Partner with project leaders and juicers to support new market openings, ensuring stability and operational excellence during the first 4–6 months.
  • People & Culture
  • Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline across Moneyball levels, ensuring the right leadership capacity for current and future growth.
  • Act as the first point of contact for training, ensuring quality and consistency across all roles and levels.
  • Develop and implement succession planning initiatives, foster juicer engagement, and actively work to reduce turnover.
  • Champion Joe & The Juice’s culture across diverse markets, tailoring leadership style to local nuances while ensuring regional consistency.
  • Supply Chain & Product Quality
  • Partner with HQ and local stakeholders to set up reliable supply chains in new markets, ensuring product quality always meets Joe & The Juice standards.
  • Oversee the execution of new product rollouts, ensuring they reflect brand identity and resonate with local customer preferences.
  • HQ Alignment & Strategic Initiatives
  • Ensure seamless implementation of HQ-driven initiatives within the MENAT region, tailoring execution to fit local market conditions.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop and implement regional campaigns that drive brand awareness and sales.
  • Performance Management & Insights
  • Continuously monitor and analyze operational data, KPIs, and guest satisfaction metrics to identify opportunities, implement improvements, and drive innovation.
  • Provide HQ and local partners with actionable insights to guide strategic decision-making.
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, Food Science, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.

Experience: Minimum of 8–10 years of progressive leadership in multi-unit operations management, preferably within fast-casual or quick-service restaurants. Proven exposure to multi-market environments; drive-thru and private equity experience is advantageous.

Growth track record: Demonstrated success in expanding new unit counts while simultaneously achieving strong same-store sales growth.

Operational & culinary expertise: Strong knowledge of F&B operations, including menu development, rollouts, and pricing strategies. Awareness of emerging F&B and consumer trends across international markets, with the ability to adapt them effectively to the MENAT context.

Brand & culture leadership: Passion for and embodiment of Joe & The Juice’s vision and pillars — Health, Experience, Convenience and Sustainability.

Performance management: Evidence of delivering measurable improvements in guest satisfaction, profitability, and operational efficiency in multi-unit, brick-and-mortar businesses.

Leadership style: Collaborative, hands-on, and empowering, with the ability to foster high performance, motivate diverse teams, and maintain a positive work environment.

Innovation & technology: Familiarity with emerging operational and customer-facing technologies, with sound judgment on early adoption and scalability.

Consumer focus: Deep commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences and translating brand values into operational execution at store level.

Communication: High EQ and IQ, coupled with excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, adaptable to multicultural environments.

Mobility: Must be based in Dubai (or willing to relocate) with the flexibility to travel extensively across the MENAT region.
