The Family Business Associate is responsible for managing and overseeing daily operations, complete portfolio management, contributing to strategic planning, and supporting long-term growth. The role involves working closely with family members, managing relationships, and ensuring the alignment of business goals.
Key Responsibilities :
- Supporting the Chairman in managing a diversified portfolio and complete portfolio management.
- Conducting in-depth equity analysis and research to inform investment strategies, including executing put option orders for long-term exposure.
- Facilitating investment-related communications with top private banks.
- Managing a diversified portfolio of private equity fund investments for the family office across sectors.
- Establishing good working relationships with asset management companies, dealers, brokers, banks, and advisors for both domestic and international opportunities.
- Making asset allocation decisions and investing across all asset classes, offering a range of products to clients, and presenting investment proposals and pitches to wealth clients and at various forums along with bankers.
- Advising the promoter on overall fund (public market) strategies and on sectors such as BFSI, Consumer, and small & mid-caps.
- Generating new investment ideas, evaluating them based on checklists, and recommending to the investment committee.
- Meeting with senior management to understand business operations, performing financial due diligence with detailed financial models, and conducting primary research on the ground business scenario.
- Leading negotiations with general partners in private equity funds to optimize returns and align interests.
- Financial Oversight : Monitoring budgets, financial performance, and profitability; collaborating with finance teams for accurate reporting; identifying cost-saving and efficiency opportunities.
- Relationship Management : Maintaining positive relationships with employees, clients, and stakeholders; resolving conflicts amicably; upholding family values in all business dealings.
Educational Qualification / Work Experience & Skills :
- MBA in Finance, CA, or CFA with a minimum of 12 years of experience in finance, equity markets, specializing in investment management and financial analysis across India and UAE.
- Deep sectoral knowledge of the commodity sector and understanding of its pulse.
- Strong analytical mindset and passion for investing.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and market analysis.
- Experience working with senior management, clients, and institutional investors.
