Our client from the online apparel industry is looking to hire a General Manager – E-Commerce for their office based in JLT – Dubai.
Job Responsibilities :
- Responsible for P&L of the E-commerce division
- Planning and overseeing modifications to the e-commerce website to enhance user experience and marketing activities. Responsible for website design, SEO, SEM, social media marketing, and traditional marketing in collaboration with external agencies.
- Establishing marketing budgets, calculating ROI, obtaining management approval, and ensuring adherence to budgets. Focus on increasing market impact and optimizing resource allocation.
- Coordinate sales and customer service
- Increasing brand awareness through in-house direct marketing and traditional channels. Responsible for research and developing new strategies.
- Planning, organizing, and executing online promotions, setting KPIs and SLAs, and leading the entire marketing lifecycle.
- Developing and nurturing relationships with buyers through store visits and maintaining contacts with fashion apparel & accessories stores, B2B stores in UAE/KSA, marketplaces, multi-brand stores, and boutiques to support product replenishment and category expansion.
- Identifying suitable suppliers, managing buying and merchandising, and launching new product ranges aligned with current trends, starting with the UAE market.
- Leading brand marketing and trendsetting initiatives, acting as the 'marketing voice' for e-commerce, and devising both online and offline go-to-market strategies.
- Curating the product portfolio, conducting price and competitor analysis to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
- Managing the merchandise displayed on the website.
- Willingness to travel globally for business meetings.
- Leading digital analytics, customer lead generation, and preparing daily and monthly reports.
- Handling logistics and warehousing operations.
- Managing digital marketing accounts and campaigns across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, LinkedIn, and YouTube, including programmatic ads. Certified in Semrush (SEO), GA3 + GA4.
Requirements :
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the fashion e-commerce industry.
- Highly motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects entrepreneurially.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to delegate and motivate team members.
- Experience in B2C and B2B customer interactions.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to report regularly to shareholders.
