UAE’s longest standing and most respected engineering and contracting groups is searching for a dynamic General Manager/CEO to lead its next phase of growth and transformation.

Industry: Main Contracting | MEP | Industrial & Infrastructure Projects

Type: Full-time | Executive Level

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic plan aligned with the company’s long-term vision.
• Expand the company’s presence in core markets including General Contracting, MEP, industrial engineering, and specialized infrastructure.
• Identify and secure high-value contracts and partnerships to accelerate revenue growth.
• Ensure efficient delivery of engineering projects with a focus on cost control, quality assurance, and timely completion.
• Oversee project management frameworks, contract administration, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Champion innovation through engineering best practices and digital transformation initiatives.
• Drive profitability through robust financial planning, budgeting, and cash flow optimization.
• Monitor P&L performance and ensure alignment with business goals and shareholder expectations.
• Identify operational, market, and regulatory risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Represent the organization in high-level negotiations, industry forums, and strategic partnerships.
• Strengthen relationships with key clients, government agencies, and sector influencers.
• Lead business development initiatives to secure large-scale general contracting, MEP, and infrastructure projects across the UAE and region.
• Uphold the highest standards of governance, transparency, and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain strong internal controls and reporting structures.
• Provide actionable insights to the Group CEO and Board of Directors to support strategic decision-making.
• Lead a high-performing executive team that drives innovation, agility, and operational excellence.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee succession planning and leadership development to future-proof the organization.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (MBA or Executive Education preferred).
• 20+ years of industry experience, including 10+ years in senior leadership roles within engineering, construction, or infrastructure firms.
• Proven success leading large-scale Main Contracting, MEP, or EPC projects
• Extensive P&L management experience and commercial acumen.
• Solid understanding of regulatory compliance, project financing, and risk management.
• Familiarity with digital construction solutions, engineering best practices, and strategic project delivery.
• Arabic speakers are preferred
• UAE-based candidates preferred, relocation welcome for the right fit if previous experience held in UAE
• Candidates from mid – large sized contracting firms are highly desirable
