Job Title: General Manager – Business & Operations

Location: Dubai, UAE

Reporting To: Founder/Managing Director

Type: Full-Time

Role Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager – Business & Operations to oversee and drive

the day-to-day operations of our trading division, eCommerce startup , and hospitality

business (Ricky’s Restaurant). The ideal candidate will possess hands-on leadership skills, business acumen,

and a strategic mindset to lead a multi-domain portfolio in a fast-paced startup environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Operations

• Oversee overall business operations across trading, eCommerce, and restaurant unit.

• Ensure process efficiency, SOP development, and adherence across departments.

• Lead P&L, budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting with the accounts team.

• Implement scalable systems to support growth in operations and revenue.

• Franchising knowledge for hospitality.

eCommerce Marketplace

• Strategize and manage the eCommerce platform as a startup – from development to scaling.

• Develop category-wise product expansion strategies and vendor onboarding processes.

• Ensure platform readiness, user experience optimization, and seller support systems.

• Coordinate with marketing, tech, and customer service to maintain seamless operations.

• Work closely with marketplace sellers and internal teams to improve product availability and sales.

• Define sales strategies for both B2B (trading) and B2C (eCommerce + Restaurant).

• Drive revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities and partnerships.

• Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets across all business verticals.

• Evaluate pricing strategies, market positioning, and promotional activities.

Hospitality Management (Ricky’s Restaurant)

• Supervise daily restaurant operations and customer service standards.

• Oversee kitchen, service, and supply chain management with the Chef and Manager.

• Plan menu engineering, food costing, promotions, and events with the F&B team.

Team Management

• Lead, mentor, and develop department heads across all business units.

• Hire and train senior/mid-level management as required.

• Monitor KPIs, performance evaluations, and employee productivity.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, eCommerce, or related fields.

• 8–10 years of relevant experience in general management, operations, or senior leadership roles.

• Must have hands-on experience managing startup eCommerce platforms with a deep

understanding of online sales channels, product/category expansion, vendor onboarding, and

platform management.

• Strong experience in multi-business operations (FMCG/Trading + F&B + Digital).

• Proven leadership skills with the ability to work across cross-functional teams.

• Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Must hold a valid UAE or GCC driver’s license.
