Job Description

We are currently hiring a General Manager for our bakery division - Flour Country.

The employee will be a dynamic and results-driven General Manager to lead the operations of our Bakery Manufacturing Unit and oversee the strategic and operational aspects of other food-related business units within the organization. He should carry out the tasks with a strong background in food manufacturing, excellent leadership abilities, and a proven track record in scaling operations, driving efficiency, and ensuring high-quality product standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

• Provide overall strategic direction and leadership to the bakery and other food manufacturing units.
• Develop and implement business strategies aligned with corporate goals to achieve profitability, growth, and sustainability.
• Identify market opportunities and lead the expansion of product lines and operations.

Operational Management:

• Oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations, including production planning, quality control, logistics, and supply chain management.
• Ensure optimal utilization of resources to achieve production targets and efficiency.
• Implement and monitor KPIs across production, safety, quality, and cost-efficiency.
• Prepare and manage the annual budget and ensure cost controls across all units.
• Analyze financial statements and operational reports to drive decisions.
• Ensure profitability and growth of each food business unit.
• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team of department heads and staff.
• Drive a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
• Collaborate closely with HR for recruitment, retention, and talent development.

Quality, Compliance & Safety:

• Ensure compliance with local and international food safety and health regulations (HACCP, ISO, etc.).
• Maintain high standards of hygiene and quality control in all units.
• Lead sustainability and environmental initiatives.

Business Development & Customer Focus:

• Liaise with key clients, suppliers, and partners to foster relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to support business growth initiatives and product positioning.
• Monitor market trends and customer feedback to improve offerings.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor’s degree in food technology, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).

Strong experience in bakery production and food industry operations is essential.

Proven expertise in P&L management, strategic planning, and operational excellence.

In-depth knowledge of UAE food regulations, standards, and business environment.

Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.

10+ years of experience in the food manufacturing industry, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role.
