The General Manager, reporting directly to the CEO, is a critical role based in Dubai, UAE, with direct responsibility for managing the division across Dubai and the northern Emirates.
Key Responsibilities:
- You will be accountable for driving the profitable growth of the division, leading efforts to sell our fire protection products, systems, and solutions. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, including Business Development, Account Management, Inside Sales, Customer Services, Technical Teams, and the wider Global Leadership Team (ELT), S&D, Finance, and Marketing.
- You will set volume and profit targets for your sales area by developing sales through existing channels and new prospects, including distribution partners, contractors, and end users. You will cultivate a performance-driven culture focused on achieving business commitments related to revenue, margin, and pricing, while coaching and developing the team to support business transformation.
- Develop and execute an annual sales growth plan and go-to-market strategy, aligning resources to meet business objectives and focusing on high-impact activities.
- Lead account management to expand the Global Products channel in priority markets, increasing product sales with existing customers.
- Establish a robust approach to Account Planning and Sales Initiative Development, with clear, measurable actions that drive sustainable growth.
- Utilize Salesforce CRM to monitor and measure sales team performance, including activity levels, opportunity pipeline, account planning, and coaching.
- Drive market development using a Maturity Model process to enhance capabilities, including strategic planning, sales management, and post-sales support.
- Collaborate on pricing strategies and lead product launches within the Global Products channel.
- Identify and implement programs, tools, and support to improve the effectiveness of the equipment sales organization.
Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Business, or Marketing.
- 15-20 years of experience in the fire safety and security industry, with at least 5-10 years in a senior leadership role.
- Excellent PnL Management skills
- Proven experience in business development and consultative selling.
- Strong experience in Account Management, building relationships across multiple levels of an organization.
- Excellent business acumen, presentation, and project management skills.
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
