Shield is seeking an experienced and driven General Manager to lead the strategic and operational direction of its home maintenance e-commerce platform. This role will oversee business development, operational execution, vendor partnerships, and financial performance to position Shield as the preferred digital marketplace for home services in the UAE. The ideal candidate combines strategic vision with hands-on leadership, operational excellence, and a deep understanding of scaling technology platforms in service-based industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic plans to scale operations, increase market share and position Shield App as the go-to platform for home maintenance in the UAE.
• Lead aggressive growth initiatives by expanding user base, optimizing customer acquisition strategies, vendor network expansion, and unlocking new revenue streams.
• Build and maintain strategic partnerships with property managers and real estate networks to integrate Shield App services into residential and commercial ecosystems.
• Oversee the entire customer journey by enhancing onboarding, engagement and retention strategies to deliver exceptional service and maximize satisfaction.
• Develop and enforce a high-performance vendor ecosystem throughrigorous onboarding, training, performance monitoring and regulatory compliance standards.
• Design and implement scalable processes and systems for service fulfilment, issue resolution, and customer / vendor dispute management, ensuring service quality and maintaining trust.
• Drive product evolution by identifying user needs and prioritize platform enhancements, ensuring the app delivers a seamless, user-centric experience aligned with business objectives.
• Own the P&L and drive financial performance through budget management, cost control, and data-driven decision-making to ensure sustainable profitability.
• Establish and optimize internal reporting systems that capture real-time performance data, enabling continuous operational improvements and strategic decision-making.
• Deliver clear, actionable business insights and performance updates to executive leadership and stakeholders through structured reporting and strategic presentations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field; MBA is preferred.
• Minimum of 7–10 years of relevant experience, including 5+ years in a senior operational or leadership role within e-commerce, or a technology-driven service platform.
• Strong understanding of digital platforms, customer experience, and vendor lifecycle management.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage complex operations, and deliver high-impact growth.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Prior experience scaling early-stage ventures or managing high-growth operations.
• Familiarity with the UAE market, including regulatory landscape and consumer behaviour.
