ABOUT THE ROLE

This role involves:
• Overseeing, managing, and operating all Arena Audio and communications equipment.
• Assisting with the setup, operation, and dismantling of PA systems, LED Screens, and house lights.
• Managing AV operations for Basketball events.
• Assisting with Bowl setup and dismantling as needed.
• Servicing and repairing AV equipment when possible.
• Ensuring all AV equipment is handled with care and stored safely and securely.
• Performing basic fault finding and equipment repair, reporting any defects to the Director of Technical & Production before and after events.
• Collaborating with Venue Stores to ensure smooth operations for equipment inventory, repair, and maintenance.
• Maintaining current working knowledge of operations, associated hazards, and controls.
• Staying updated on the Dubai Arena Work Health and Safety Act, Environmental Protection Act, and all related regulations, local laws, standards, codes of practice, or guidelines.
• Consulting, coordinating, and cooperating with contractors and others to manage HSE risks.
• Ensuring resources and processes are available for minimizing HSE risks and responding to HSE information promptly.
• Striving for minimal incident levels and work-related injuries.
• Promoting high staff awareness and training in health and safety issues.
• Reporting all incidents immediately to your manager or Security Manager.
• Checking work areas for suspicious articles/items and report them immediately to your manager or security manager.
• Identifying and rectify potential safety issues (e.g., trip hazards, spills) or report them to your manager or security.
• Completing an incident report card for each incident observed.
• Remaining vigilant in managing access to unauthorized areas.

You should have:
Qualifications:
• Degree or certification in AV
Experience:
• Minimum 3-5 years recent experience working with AV equipment on Live Music Concerts & Live Events
• Reasonable experience in the equipment and systems for one more of the following disciplines: Audio Visual, Sound, Stage Lighting and or Rigging
• Previous experience in the UAE, preferably in the event industry
Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Previous experience in events
• Fluent in English
