    Job Summary.

    This position is within the WT Shared Service team and will support the Compliance team with various day to day activities and month end close responsibilities. Under the supervision of our staff, the Accountant can expect to participate in the preparation of VAT returns, external audits, internal audits, SOX reporting, learn more about effective communication within the organization, and assist with other accounting activities. You should be a motivated team player who can maintain efficiency and accuracy when multitasking.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Assist in Statutory, Tax, Internal audits and ICV Certifications
    • Ensure timely and accurate periodic reporting
    • Perform periodic VAT accounts reconciliations, prepare VAT refund application as they are available
    • Assist in periodic SOX/Walkthroughs reporting in accordance with NOV Accounting Control Manual
    • Ensure company policies and procedures are adhered to assess risks and due diligence for safeguarding resources
    • Identify opportunities for automation to enhance productivity
    • Highlight opportunities to enhance efficiency
    • Implement best practices and standardize processes across ME ledgers
    • Attend various ad-hoc request

    EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/SKILL-SET REQUIRED:

    Essential:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting
    • 3 – 4 years of experience ideally in similar role
    • Understanding the basic principles of accounting, audit and IFRS.
    • Must be detail-oriented and organized to ensure quality results
    • Ability to work as a team member, multi-task, analyze information to draw a conclusion and meet deadlines
    • Good knowledge of internal controls and understanding of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act is preferred
    • Hands on experience with ERP (JDE, Oracle)
    • Good verbal and written communication skills
    • Good knowledge of excel
    • Strong desire to make positive changes and develop process improvements
    • Attention to detail and deadline oriented
    • High level of integrity and work ethic with positive, can-do attitude
    • Ability to work under pressure
    • Excellent written and verbal skills; excellent listener

    Desirable:

    • Professional Finance related qualification like master’s degree in finance, CA, CPA is preferred
    • Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) software
