Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic, problem-solving, and detail-oriented individual reporting to the Accounting Supervisor. The successful candidate will be responsible for general accounting activities within the accounting function for ISE ledgers of NOV. This role requires navigating a multicultural and innovative environment while collaborating with internal finance teams to ensure the accounting function exceeds expectations. The General Accountant will apply accepted accounting principles and procedures, analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements, and ensure compliance with NOV and local statutory requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing procedures.
- Process and post journal entries for routine transactions accurately, with appropriate supporting documentation, ensuring records reflect the financial position correctly.
- Prepare supporting schedules for specific general ledger accounts, analyze, and reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly.
- Handle consolidation, inter-company transactions, and reconciliations.
- Assist in documenting and maintaining Ledger processes and controls, including testing relevant SOX controls.
- Conduct quarterly balance sheet and P & L fluctuation analysis.
- Maintain reports for corporate accounting, tax authorities, and external stakeholders as required.
- Assist in organizing and preparing information for statutory and tax audits.
- Support internal and external audit processes to ensure efficient reviews of financial data and controls.
- Address accounting issues and undertake ad hoc projects as needed.
- Identify opportunities for process automation.
- Manage and analyze inventory.
- Perform other finance and accounting tasks as assigned.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting.
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in General Accounting, IFRS, US GAAP, and SOX reporting within MNC or Shared Services environments.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (Pivot tables).
- Working knowledge of SAGE ERP.
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality customer service to internal and external clients.
Desirable :
- Over 4 years of relevant experience.
- Strong awareness of internal controls and security.
- Experience with Excel Macros or basic programming.
- Knowledge of Alteryx, Data Warehousing, and Basware.
