Job Description

The RTR Specialist is responsible for providing support to hotels supported by the Finance Shared Service Centre (SSC). This includes activities such as month-end closing, financial reporting, balance sheet reconciliation, tax reporting, and daily cash journal management.

The role reports to the Record to Report Supervisor.

Position Summary
  • Manage specific month-end activities
  • Maintain the Fixed Cost Register, ensuring it accurately reflects all contracts
  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Prepare VAT reconciliations and VAT returns
  • Review hotel P&L statements and prepare necessary adjustments
  • Prepare monthly financial reports for hotels
  • Prepare the daily cash journal
  • Assist in preparing documentation for internal and external audits
  • Perform other tasks as required by business operations
Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactiveness and a willingness to learn and challenge existing processes
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple demands, and prioritize effectively
  • Strong analytical skills for handling large data sets accurately
  • Ability to collaborate with team members both in-office and remotely
  • Capability to learn and perform essential job functions independently after initial training
  • Solid accounting knowledge
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Knowledge of financial and DMS systems, with interest in learning new systems such as Navision and Docuware
