Job summary

DeepLight AI is an AI and data consultancy delivering AI-powered banking solutions. The Backend Engineer will drive digital transformation by building scalable GenAI-enabled applications and secure cloud-native platforms, integrating AI models, and coordinating with data scientists and IT teams.

You will design modular architectures, data pipelines, and deploy using containerization and CI/CD, in a fast-paced finance-focused environment. A strong banking operations background is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Five+ years in professional software development.
• Proven track record in building scalable, secure web applications and integrating AI models within a cloud-native environment (Azure preferred).
• Advanced knowledge of banking operations, terminologies, and financial services products.
• Experience with GenAI, RAG workflows, and cloud deployments in Azure/AWS.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy full-stack, AI-powered web applications using microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Integrate Generative AI engineering principles, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) into enterprise platforms.
• Create modular, scalable architectures and reusable templates for AI projects.
• Design data pipelines, governance frameworks for large datasets.
• Manage containerization (Docker) and CI/CD pipelines for secure deployments.
• Collaborate with analytics translators between business units and IT to align builds with business goals.
• Adhere to organizational policies and standards to ensure high-quality delivery.
