GCP Engineer

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in cloud architecture, networking, security, and operational support, with a focus on implementing and maintaining scalable and secure GCP environments. This role involves managing infrastructure, ensuring compliance, and supporting day-to-day cloud operations while collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Cloud Architecture & Deployment:
2. Maintain and optimize existing GCP landing zones, ensuring scalability, security, and compliance.
3. Architect scalable and secure cloud solutions using best practices and industry standards.
4. Networking & Security:
5. Manage and optimize networking components such as VPCs, VPNs, and Interconnects.
6. Implement and enforce security policies, including IAM, firewalls, and encryption protocols.
7. Address and remediate security findings from Check Point CSPM to ensure compliance with standards.
8. Operational Support:
9. Provide hands-on support for GCP services, troubleshooting issues, and enhancing system performance.
10. Manage Linux and Windows environments within GCP for high availability and scalability.
11. Documentation & Reporting:
12. Maintain detailed documentation of architectures, configurations, and operational procedures.
13. Prepare reports on resource utilization, compliance status, and performance improvements.

Qualifications:

1. Experience:
2. 5+ years in cloud technologies, with at least 3+ years of hands-on experience in GCP-focused roles.
3. Technical Skills:
4. Proficiency in GCP services, Terraform, Check Point CSPM, and system administration (Linux/Windows).
5. Strong expertise in networking, security frameworks, and cloud operations.
6. Certifications:
7. Relevant Cloud certifications (e.g., Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect) are strongly preferred.
8. Soft Skills:
9. Excellent problem-solving abilities, communication skills, and the ability to collaborate across teams.
