Job summary

Remitly is seeking a Policy and Regulatory Affairs lead for the GCC region to represent the company before policymakers and government stakeholders. You will build relationships, craft policy positions, and support cross-border payments strategies, reporting to the PRA Head of EMEA.

The role requires entrepreneurial spirit, cross-border policy understanding, and experience with policy maker engagement across national and local levels.

Qualifications

• Experience with policymakers or government affairs matters.
• Ability to summarize complex information and messaging.
• Executive stakeholder management and influencing outcomes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; Arabic is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement public policy and government affairs strategies for the GCC region.
• Advocate Remitly’s positions with policymakers, regulators and industry groups.
• Identify regulatory risks and opportunities and coordinate mitigation strategies.
• Facilitate meetings between Remitly executives and government officials and industry bodies.
• Collaborate with business teams to align policy goals with company objectives.
• Engage in GCC-focused trade associations and policy thought-leadership.
