Job summary

TalentSpoc in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a Specialist Gastrointestinal Surgeon to join our leading healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will manage a range of GI and abdominal conditions with expertise in open and minimally invasive procedures.

You will diagnose, plan, and perform elective and emergency GI surgeries, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and counseling patients on options, risks and recovery. A strong GI surgical background and laparoscopic skills are essential.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
• MS/DNB or equivalent postgraduate qualification in General Surgery / Gastrointestinal Surgery.
• Minimum 3 years of post-specialization experience preferred.
• Strong experience in gastrointestinal and abdominal surgery; laparoscopic experience is an advantage.
• Excellent surgical skills, clinical judgment, and decision-making abilities.
• Strong communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and surgically manage a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions.
• Perform elective and emergency gastrointestinal surgical procedures.
• Coordinate with gastroenterologists, oncologists, radiologists, anesthesiologists and other specialists.
• Counsel patients regarding treatment options, risks and recovery.
• Maintain accurate clinical and surgical documentation.
• Provide postoperative care and monitor patient recovery.
• Manage surgical complications and follow-up.
